Good Day, Moustafa!

I fully agree with you on this.

I believe that efforts to develop TVET programs with the assurance of high
quality standards for graduates will be aided by requirements to be
compliant with HSEP Acts and Regulations.

Every TVET Student should be required to participate in an OHS (HESP)
Committee as part of their program so that they learn the facts about their
Risk Exposure and their Rights and Responsibilities with regards to the
Protection of their own safety, the safety of those around them, and the
safety of society at large.  They should receive a copy of the local OHS
Act and Regulations as a part of their course material and be required to
know substantial portions of this that are related to their occupational
area.

Training Institutions, including K-12 Schools, should be audited regularly
by every applicable regulatory agency to demonstrate best practices so that
student may learn by being involved in the process.  I would expect those
institutions embracing this approach will find that corporate sponsors are
more willing to be associated with them.

Following is a link to the Young Worker Readiness Certificate Course in
the Province of Saskatchewan:  http://www.aeei.gov.sk.ca/ywrcc

I have posted a wide range of related links on EduNorth, under OHS &
Personal Well Being:  http://edunorth.wordpress.com/ohs/

Thanks for keeping this topic at the front of our minds:  Safety First.

And now for something completely different:

What informs me? How did I arrive at the conclusions I have?  Well, it has
been indeed an interesting trip.  Along the way I fell in love with many
things.

I enjoy music from around the world, and across time, but there are a few
pieces which spoke to me in the moment that I still revel in many years
later.  One of these is a song called Mona, by a group called Quicksilver
Messenger Service, on a live recording called Happy Trails, which is posted
on YouTube at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjWGr-h8ETA

Perhaps this is silly stuff, a private joy, of no consequence at the end
of the day.  But then again, what really is of any consequence at the end
of the day?

Wishing you a very good day in Egypt.

Yours truly,

Damian
