	Cedefop's Isabelle Le Mouillour and Maria Todorova at the ECVET workshop	To implement ECVET successfully, get the practitioners involved Participants in May's workshop on the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) identified the steps that various actors should take to make the system work and warned of a persisting 'cultural gap' between policy makers and practitioners.

	News from Cedefop   What is Europe doing for youth employment? European policy makers take the issue of youth employment very seriously indeed. The current high rate of youth unemployment potentially threatens social cohesion, equity and growth. Four European agencies, Cedefop, ETF, EU-OSHA and Eurofound, are holding joint seminar on this topic, in order to present findings and formulate options for European policy makers. The seminar, held in Brussels on 30 June, is hosted by the European Parliament's Employment and Social Affairs Committee.     Making training pay for employers and employees alike Resources for training are scarce, and employers are encouraged to provide training for their own employees. But how can they be sure they will have a good return of investment? And what about the time needed for training?
