El Señor de Mailín

EL SEÑOR DE MAILIN De regreso a las Termas de Río Hondo, para completar un trabajo, el pasado día 13/05/2.010, luego del medio día me encontraba en la localidad de Garza, en Santiago del Estero, donde me habían transportado, como siempre, haciendo dedo o pidiendo al costado de la ruta (en este caso la Ruta Nacional 34), para que me trasladen hasta donde puedan. Cuando pasé rumbo a la ciudad de Santa Fe, capital de la provincia del mismo nombre, para completar mi equipo desaparecido en un acto de inseguridad en la localidad de Tilcara en Jujuy (por lo que me vi obligado a viajar de manera diferente e incluso ofreciendo mis servicios, para realizar páginas Web vinculadas al turismo, porque necesitaba dinero extra), pasé por el recorrido de lo que es una de las más grandes manifestaciones de fe de los católicos de mí país, por la Villa de Mailín y todos los que me trasladaron me contaron del acontecimiento y, a decir verdad, se notaba el movimiento extra a los costados de la ruta y en los pueblo (los que recorrí, uno por uno, desde la localidad de Fernandez, porque mi benefactor, que me depositaría en la ciudad de Santo Tomé de la Provincia de Santa Fe debía culminar unos trámites de su trabajo, para dedicarle una semana o dos a su familia en Rosario). Como les decía: Regresando a las Termas, quedé en Garza, en su última cuadra poblada y al notar que los vehículos transitaban muy rápido y existía un movimiento inusitado, en especial de personas a pie, por la ruta (sumados a los ciclistas y motociclistas), decidí colocarme cerca de una estación de servicios. Al caminar hacia ese lugar unas personas algo alcoholizadas me detuvieron y me pidieron que me contacte con un puesto sanitario que se encontraba cruzando la ruta (suponía y no en vano, que lograrían embarcarme hacia el peaje de Fernandez o más allá, con posibilidades de llegar a las Termas). En ese lugar conocí gente maravillosa y muy ocupada en ayudar a los demás, en especial al peregrino de Mailín, que realiza el trayecto a pié, desde más de cien kilómetros, para llegar a tocar la imagen sagrada y luego rendir sus honores al hermano árbol que la cobijó y protegió durante la época oscura, cuando los jesuitas fueron obligados a dejar estas tierras, por orden del Rey de España (es una leyenda muy bonita, que merece que la busquen en Internet y se pongan al tanto). Este año el Puesto Sanitario de San Antonio debió trasladarse a Garza, porque los propietarios de las tierras donde se ubicaban durante años no les permitieron instalarse en el lugar (debo aclarar que se trata de nuevos propietarios), por lo que quedaron diez kilómetros antes de donde debían estar, que es en el monte de San Antonio, en el medio de la nada, a medio camino entre Garza y Lugones, donde los peregrinos llegan extremádamente necesitados de todo y en especial de tratamiento, para sus ampollas y lesiones musculares. San Antonio se encuentra en el Departamento de Sarmiento, en nuestra provincia de Santiago del Estero. La coordinadora del Puesto Sanitario es Marta Buena (enfermera jubilada del Hospital Fernandez de Buenos Aires) actualmente reside en Forres, a pocos kilómetros del lugar. El equipo se encuentra integrado por voluntarios de Forres, Fernandez, Garza, San Antonio y de Santiago del Estero (capital). Son enfermeros, estudiantes de medicina, scauts y simples vecinos, que antiguamente fueron caminando hasta el santuario en Mailín y se dieron cuenta de las necesidades en la ruta. El grupo scauts se encuentra al mando del jefe de grupo Oscar Marcelo Ramirez (insignia de madera), pertenecen al grupo 13 de Octubre de la parroquia Santa Lucía de la capital provincial, integrados por caminantes (de 14 a 17 años) y robert (de 17 a 21 años), del Distrito 2, zona 33 de los Scauts de la República Argentina, cuyo lema es "SIEMPRE ATENTOS PARA SERVIR". Como ustedes se imaginarán necesitan de todo tipo de ayuda, en especial material (algún motor home o casa auto portante y un pequeño camión de los que conocemos como 350), de carpas para que los peregrinos descansen, pero de las grandes, de las que utilizan las empresas gastronómicas, en un número no menor a dos, ya que una serviría para las curaciones y auxilios y la otra, para el pernocte de los caminantes. Estimados:   A los viajeros, familiares o amigos les recomiendo que tengan cuidado con la inseguridad en Tilcara, provincia de Jujuy, en la República Argentina. Yo perdí gran parte de mi equipo de campamentismo y de comunicaciones (sin contar con la papelería y tarjetas). La policía recién me tomó la denuncia unas cuatro horas después de ocurridos los hechos y la Municipalidad no muestra señales de vida, luego de una extensa nota que les enviara. Los casos como el mío son repetidos y en especial, con extranjeros. Se imaginan que si le pasó a un natural de esta bendita república, que se encuentra en guardia y prevenido, a los de afuera se les torna un calvario. Y es significativo que la mayoría de las personas lo tomen como una avivada del que esto escribe (incluidos los policías de la comisaría de Tilcara), con las excepciones destacadas de Caritas de Tilcara y de la parroquia en S.S. de Jujuy a la que me mandaron, donde hicieron todo lo posible, por reponer lo más importante de mi equipo (el de tomar mate).
