Source: European Commission	European Commission invites business community to focus on vocational training On 7 and 8 June, the European Commission took a step towards bringing policy makers and the business community closer together: it organised the first European business forum on vocational training. The forum, dedicated to "challenges and trends in skills and career development of the European workforce", was focused on companies' approaches to skills development of both adult workers and young people.

	News from Cedefop   Green skills and environmental awareness in vocational education and training - Synthesis report The greening of the European economy, as outlined in the EU 2020 strategy, will have profound effects on the labour market and the development of the skills of the European population.       Communities of practice: a model network to aid national implementation of ECVET This year, responsibility for the implementation of the European Credit system for Vocational Education and Training passes mainly to the Member States. The third annual ECVET Forum demonstrated how useful communities of practice can be for the smooth implementation of the system in each country.     Empowering vulnerable adults to tackle the labour market An international seminar organised by Cedefop's Study Visits team examined how migrants, minorities, older workers and people with lower skills can successfully navigate the challenges of the labour market.
