Hello from Dhaka:

TVET reform project recently hosted an event in Dhaka where the National
Strategy for Promotion of Gender Equality in Technical and Vocational
Education and Training (TVET) in Bangladesh was presented. The document is
currently in its 4th draft and close to final sign-off. The highlights of
the report were presented during the workshop and discussions followed. The
members at the seminar concluded the recommendations in the strategy were
doable but recognized there are challenges that need to be tackled.

The report and press release for the event are attached.

Also attached, is a description of one pilot supported by the project and
run by UCEP where a mixed group of women and men are trained in motorcycle
servicing.
