Dear members,

The notion that TVET could be a tool "to eradicate unemployment and
poverty" is, I think, overrating the impact of TVET. Unemployment and
poverty are complex realities in our world, with multiple aspects.
Education / training being one of the players. We do know that well
trained, well educated persons are unemployed in many countries. Are not
behind poverty, unemployment, hunger, violence -the global policies and
structures?

Well planned TVET interventions may help some trainees - but I doubt it
will 'eradicate poverty'.
