Dear Forum members,
What if Joseph had a legitimate concern? The forum is a mix bag of people
playing various roles in TVET. Of course we have different interest and we
approach the e-forum discussion from an angle related to issues confronting
us in our daily activities. Although with the current structure of the
forum we all learn from each other, but folks who feel that their concerns
are not receiving enough attention are also feeling that they are being
left behind. May be this is an indication that it is time for UNEVOC to re
engineer the forum. Various threads can be established based on statistics
related to pattern of participation and the substance of discussions, thus
enabling people to subscribe to all or only to threads of primary
interest.
After having made this comment I must also say that I have always
considered the cross pollination of ideas from people from various
countries, cultures, background, and playing various roles in TVET is a
major strength of the forum. May be this is what they call "a catch 22".
I wish to draw your attention to the sudden explosion that took place in a
high school auto shop in Ottawa, Canada, on may 26, 2011, which took the
life of 18 years old student Eric Leighton and caused minor injuries to
several others including the TVET teacher. Our thoughts are with the
families and friends of the victims. For
