In India, Directorate General of Employment and Training under the
Ministry of Labour is looking after the apprenticeship training.

to read more about the scheme, the relevent legislations, and the
regulating authorities.

Being a Quality Assurance professional in vocational education sector in
India, one of the quality concerns that we I have is the limited
opportunities for the candidates to undergo internships. The challenge is
that, in India, apprenticeship is more focused on candidates from the
formal streams of study where as vocational education is more in the
informal sector.
