Dear Colleagues,
It's slightly late notice but I thought some of the members of the forum
might still be interested in the Education That Pays For Itself 2011
conference, taking place this year in Jinotega, Nicaragua, 25-27 October.
Combining income generation with vocational education in schools is a
powerful way to help students develop valuable business, technical & soft
skills - providing schools extra funding at the same time. Share your
work,
establish new partnerships, get solutions to your toughest problems and
have
a little fun - we promise you won't forget the experience.
Registration closes on the 10 October and the bilingual conference takes
place on from the 25-27 October on the campus of our host school La
Bastilla
Technical Agricultural High School - a great example of the type of
approaches under discussion.
Full information on the event, registration process and accommodation
options, can now be found on the conference website -
www.educationthatpaysforitself.org - and you can contact
conference@educationthatpaysforitself.org with any questions.
Don't miss out on what promises to be a great event!
We look forward to seeing you in October!
NB: For those who can't make the event, if you're interested in how
vocational education can be made more relevant, sustainable and
impactful,
visit www.teachamantofish.org.uk for a range of information & resources.
